AI Statement
With the current state of technology and its ever increasing speed of progress, I think it is important to recognize that AI plays a part and influences anybody’s work. From the small, automated corrections when a person types text on a computer, to large data-models and image and video creation. I believe it is crucially important to be very open to what extent we, as creatives, use AI, how is can be an extraordinary useful and powerful tool, but also, how it can compromise damage people’s livelihood.
This company is extremely small with very limited funds, run by, primarily, me (Lukas Raphael), supported by a small number of volunteers and the extraordinary artists that come and work on these shows. Time is very precious and money is even more limited; by using AI in certain areas, it allows us more time to run productions and the company more efficiently, to focus on what we feel is the most crucial - putting on a brilliant show.
So this is how we use AI:
For the productions, we do not, and will never, use any AI to cut, change or adjust the play texts.
For marketing, we at times use text generated templates and adjust them accordingly to suit campaign and outreach material. We also use limited amounts of generated images for promotional material which is always adjusted heavily by an either paid or volunteer designer or artist.
As we grow and are able to raise funds, we hope to transition to being able to employ artists and designers, but this is currently not possible.
